Young child suffers life-changing injuries after hit and run

A young child is in a critical condition in hospital after a hit and run involving a motorbike in Shotton on Wednesday, September 11. The child was airlifted to Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool, sustaining life-altering injuries. The motorcyclist did not stop after the collision, prompting a search by the authorities.

North Wales Police issued a statement appealing for witnesses to the serious collision on Central Drive in Shotton. The child remains critically ill in hospital with life-changing injuries. Chief Inspector Trystan Bevan mentioned a heavy police presence in the Shotton area to locate the suspect who failed to stop after the collision.

Three individuals have been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice in connection with the incident. Bevan urged anyone with information or footage of the incident to come forward by contacting the police on 101 or through CrimeStoppers. The child’s condition and the search for the motorcyclist have left the community deeply concerned.
