Chief Inspector Trystan Bevan mentioned a heavy police presence in the Shotton area to locate the suspect who failed to stop after the collision.
Three individuals have been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice in connection with the incident. Bevan urged anyone with information or footage of the incident to come forward by contacting the police on 101 or through CrimeStoppers.
