The iconic Tramshed in Cardiff is up for sale.

The sensational Grade II-listed Tramshed arts venue is up for sale for a little over £3m.

Many remember it as a derelict shell, a hommage to the beautiful buildings and rich history of Cardiff’s past and so close to Cardiff’s City centre. In 2015 The Tramshed was a was converted into a wonderful music and arts scene that Cardiff could be proud of.

It was hugely popular and successful offering plenty, such as a music venue, office space, arts venue & yoga studios that really transformed the the beautiful building back into a bustling pillar of the community, that is until the coronavirus pandemic.

Now it has been listed on the market with offers excess of £3.2m.

Savills, who has the property on the market states it is a “high-quality co-working office space, live music and leisure venue”, the building also has over 30 apartments.

The leasehold term of the property is 999 years, which is from 2015, and that the ultimate freehold owner is Cardiff council.

The building is of 57,000 sq ft, most of which is commercial space.

The current leaseholders TEG MJR which runs the popular music gatherings are the holders until 2030

A spokeswoman for them said: “We have a long term lease at Tramshed and look forward to working with the future owners of the building in bringing the best live music and events to Cardiff. “

So they don’t panic, they don’t plan on going anywhere soon!
