£1 for a bacon bap at the Huddle? Yes please!
The world is a funny place at the moment with the price of everything going up at an alarming rate and even the smallest indulgences seem to be getting more and more unaffordable.
When Darran and Dave formed The Huddle – Coffee & Chill, they both shared a vision, an idea that this trend needs to stop and people, all of us, need these small indulgences to power us through the day, and these should not be a luxury item. So, they created The Huddle to be simple, affordable and the lowest possible prices we could realistically manage. That’s where the £1 Bacon bap idea came from, a simple food item that is a staple, at least in our opinion of British-ness. Something that could make the majority of people afford whether it be as an easy breakfast to start your day, or a mid day lunch, a nice warm freshly baked bap with locally sourced bacon all for the simple cost of a £1, the cheapest in all of South Wales and likely beyond.
It was also important for them especially after the recent years of isolation to bring people out and about again so they created The Huddle to be a welcoming place for the lovely people of Tonypandy, the Welsh valleys and beyond to come in chill and never have to worry about breaking the bank. For something as simple as a cup of coffee and bacon Bap which combined you can get for a low price of £3.50, which works out cheaper than most places would charge for a coffee alone these days, this is not on a special hour, not on a special deal but is in fact available all day, everyday, bacon bap for a single pound and a coffee for £2.50. But perhaps coffee is not your thing, that’s fine just have a nice warm freshly cooked bacon roll and sit down on their comfortable chairs knowing it only costs a single pound, trust us you will not regret it.
They have a growing menu, their facilities are expanding week on week, giving free use of our vintage game consoles to all the customers keeping the children (and adults) entertained allowing essential chill time, they are now offering Joes ice-cream, breakfasts and much more at the cheapest price we can make it, now and always.
They are registered on the “Too good to go” app to make sure all food waste is as little as possible and offer good quality meals at cheap prices. The majority of the food used to make your meals are locally sourced, the vegetables coming from the Tonypandy market, the Welsh cakes all freshly made in Pontypridd before being delivered to our Cafe, and the bacon coming from local butchers just to name a few, they strongly believe success must be shared and if they are going up, they are bringing as many fellow small businesses as they can with them.
They are a new business, a small business but they hope to be around for a long time and make sure that everyone can have a safe, warm and comfortable place to sit down and have those little indulgences, such as the £1 bacon bap.
