Sting announces huge Welsh date for 2025 world tour

Sting has recently revealed exciting news for his fans in Wales, as he announced a major date for his 2025 world tour. The renowned British musician and actor, Sting, will be making a return to Cardiff Castle in the summer of 2025. The rock star, famous for hits like “Every Breath You Take”, is scheduled to perform on Saturday, June 28 in 2025 as part of his “STING 3.0” world tour. This announcement comes after the successful launch of his tour this summer in Europe and North America.

Sting’s performance at Cardiff Castle is highly anticipated, especially after a packed summer of 18 shows in 2024 which drew in over 170,000 live music enthusiasts. Artists such as Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Avril Lavigne graced the stage, setting the bar high for Sting’s upcoming gig. This Cardiff Castle show marks Sting’s return to the venue following a sold-out concert in 2023.

Tickets for Sting’s performance will go on general sale on Friday, September 27 at 9 am. Nick Saunders from DEPOT Live expressed excitement about welcoming Sting back to Cardiff Castle, promising an unforgettable performance. Cuffe and Taylor promoter Julian Murray also shared his enthusiasm for presenting Sting as the first artist for Cardiff Castle in 2025.

Accompanied by guitarist Dominic Miller and drummer Chris Maas, the band is gearing up to deliver a setlist featuring electrifying hits and rarities from Sting’s extensive discography. Members of Sting’s Fan Club will have access to a special presale starting from 9 am on Wednesday.

Fans can secure their tickets through Ticketmaster from 9 am on Friday, September 27. This announcement sets the stage for what promises to be a monumental concert at Cardiff Castle in 2025, with Sting leading the lineup of world-class acts set to grace the historic venue.
