Iconic drummer Kenny Hyslop from Simple Minds has sadly passed away at the age of 73, prompting an outpouring of tributes. Midge Ure, former frontman of Ultravox, shared the news on social media, expressing his condolences to Kenny’s family and friends. Kenny’s cause of death has not been disclosed, although reports indicate he had been unwell for some time.

Kenny initially started his musical journey in Ure’s band, Salvation, which later transformed into Slik in 1972. He later joined Simple Minds in 1981, succeeding Brian McGee as the drummer for a year. Fans and admirers have taken to social media to mourn his loss, remembering him as a talented musician.
