A Beatles photo signed by the band and handwritten lyrics by Sex Pistols’ John Lydon were recently auctioned off for over £130,000. The signed photo of the Fab Four from their 1964 Australian tour went under the hammer for £66,462, surpassing the estimated price of £31,922. Additionally, a sheet of original lyrics by John Lydon, also known as Johnny Rotten, sold for £65,952, exceeding the estimated price of £63,844. The lyrics featured early drafts of well-known Sex Pistols songs from their debut album, “Never Mind The Bollocks, Here’s The Sex Pistols”.
The auction, held by RR Auction as part of the Marvels of Modern Music sale, saw the Beatles’ items attracting significant interest.
