Former Page Three model Samantha Fox appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court, where she admitted to being drunk and disorderly and using threatening behaviour during an incident on a British Airways flight. The court heard that Fox, 58, was involved in a confrontation with flight staff and her wife, Linda Olsen, which led to the decision to return the plane to the gate. Police were called to remove Fox from the plane, and she was described as drunk, rude, and verbally abusive towards the officers.
During the incident, Fox threatened a police officer, saying, “I know where you live, I’ll knock your teeth out,†as well as using derogatory language towards him. The officer stated that he was subjected to a sustained level of abuse for over two hours, describing it as the most disgusting he had experienced in his 10-year career. Fox also made threats of legal action and continued her abusive behaviour until the early hours of the morning.
In her defence, it was mentioned that Fox suffers from depression and ADHD, and she had purchased drinks at the airport to calm her nerves due to severe anxiety. The court was shown security footage of Fox’s behaviour and her aggressive interactions with the police officers. The incident caused a 12-hour delay for the flight and resulted in compensation claims from passengers and financial losses for British Airways.
Despite initially facing a trial for assaulting her wife, the charge was dropped due to changes in evidence. Fox expressed remorse during her custody interview, attributing her behaviour to the stress and anxiety she was experiencing at the time. The sentencing for Fox, who gained fame as a model on The Sun’s Page Three and for her 1980s hits as a singer, is set for Monday afternoon.
The court was informed of the impact of Fox’s actions on the flight and the individuals involved, highlighting the disruptive and abusive nature of the incident. Further details of the sentencing and any additional consequences for Fox are expected to be revealed following the court’s decision.
