Prison officer, Jodie Beer, sentenced to six years for smuggling drugs and phones into HMP Parc in juice cartons after being offered £5,000 by a prisoner. Police found drugs and mobile phones hidden in orange juice cartons in her car outside the Welsh prison. Beer admitted to the offence and will serve up to half of her sentence in custody. The Crown Prosecution Service condemned her actions as a breach of trust.
