No Charges for Police Officer in Ely Bike Crash Tragedy
A police officer will not be facing criminal charges for following two teenagers who tragically died in an e-bike crash in Ely, Cardiff, two years ago. Kyrees Sullivan, 16, and Harvey Evans, 15, lost their lives in May 2023 when they crashed on a Sur-Ron bike shortly after being observed on CCTV being trailed by a police van. In a statement, McHaffie expressed, “Following a thorough review of the evidence regarding dangerous driving allegations, we have determined that there is insufficient evidence to support a conviction against the South Wales Police officer.
