DIY SOS star Nick Knowles has provided an update on his health after sustaining a shoulder and arm injury, raising concerns about his future on Strictly Come Dancing. The 62-year-old revealed on Instagram that he injured himself while changing a tyre on his car quickly on the side of the motorway. This incident occurred following his jive performance to We Built This City by Starship with professional dancer Luba Mushtuk during the first live episode of the BBC show’s 20th anniversary series.
Knowles, in his post, stated, “I’m not quite sure how or what, but it’s been quite painful, although a little better this morning.” Despite the setback, he expressed confidence in continuing on the dance show, mentioning his upcoming visit to Harley Street for a scan and medical advice before heading to training to prepare for his next dance routine. Judge Anton Du Beke praised Knowles’ uplifting performance, which scored 18 points, while professional dancer Carlos Gu presented him with a cake on the show.
As Knowles strives to recover from his injury and remain in the competition, fans are eagerly awaiting updates on his progress. Supporters can catch him on It Takes Two on BBC Two and the next episode of Strictly Come Dancing on BBC One. With determination and a positive attitude, Knowles aims to overcome this obstacle and keep dancing for his fans.
