Nationwide customers could get extra £350 for Christmas

Nationwide customers may receive an additional £350 just in time for Christmas, as reported by Wales Online. The banking giant is currently running a promotion where eligible customers switching to a FlexPlus, FlexDirect, or FlexAccount from a non-Nationwide account could qualify for the cash bonus upon completing the switch within 28 days. Individual account holders could receive a £175 cash bonus, while those with joint accounts stand to gain £350 upon moving from their current provider. To be eligible, customers are required to deposit a minimum of £1,000 (excluding transfers from other Nationwide accounts or Visa credits) and conduct at least one debit card transaction within 31 days of initiating the switch.

The offer does come with some restrictions; customers who have already received a switching bonus from Nationwide since August 18, 2021, or those transferring money between Nationwide accounts, are not eligible for the bonus. Once all the criteria are met, the £175 bonus should reflect in the accounts within 10 days, identified as “Switching Offer” on bank statements. Marta Edwards, Nationwide’s head of current accounts, emphasised the intention to provide customers with compelling reasons to join Nationwide and remain as customers. She highlighted the additional benefits available, such as the £100 Fairer Share Payment for eligible members and the flexible Flex Regular Saver product, showcasing the advantages of being a part of a modern, member-owned organisation.
