Mum ends up with ‘bulletholes’ in buttocks after liquid BBL at salon

A mother’s desire to enhance her figure resulted in unexpected consequences when a liquid Brazilian butt lift procedure at a salon left her with ‘bullet wound’ like holes in her buttocks. Melissa Crawford, seeking to address her self-consciousness about her ‘flat’ behind, opted for the non-surgical butt lift treatment closer to home rather than travelling to Turkey. After finding an aesthetician on Facebook, Melissa paid £1,700 for the procedure, which included a non-surgical butt lift and eyebrow filler.

However, following the one-litre filler injection on May 8th, Melissa experienced excruciating pain and developed abscesses on her buttocks within 24 hours. Despite reaching out to the aesthetician, she claimed she was ignored after being advised to use an electric toothbrush for facial swelling. Eventually, Melissa sought medical help and underwent surgery on May 21st to drain the filler and remove the abscesses, resulting in two scars resembling bullet wounds on her buttocks.

Melissa, from Belfast, expressed regret over her decision, stating that the procedure has left her unable to wear certain clothing and has deterred her from future filler treatments. Describing the physical and mental repercussions she faced, Melissa warned others about the risks involved in cosmetic procedures. The beautician in question stated that all treatments were conducted with utmost care and professionalism, refraining from commenting on specific cases due to confidentiality.

Melissa’s unfortunate experience serves as a cautionary tale, highlighting the importance of thorough research and consideration before undergoing cosmetic procedures. The aftermath of her liquid Brazilian butt lift serves as a reminder of the potential risks associated with such treatments and the lasting impact they can have on an individual’s well-being.
