The Chancellor of the Exchequer has warned that the scheme will become more targeted from April, meaning it will not be available to everyone.
In September, the Government promised to pay a significant part of company energy bills but now many businesses are worried that their support will end in April.

Business rates in Wales will be frozen for the 2023-24 financial year says Welsh Government. The decision is part of a package of governmental support worth more than £460m over the next two financial years to help with the effects of rising costs.

Speaking on LBC radio, Mr Hunt said: “I can reassure people that we will be continuing with support. And we’ll be announcing very shortly the precise details of that support. But we do want to continue supporting businesses going forward.”

He added “we’re quite close” to an announcement. He said he hoped the news would come out “just before or just after”.
