Former England rugby player Mike Tindall reportedly made a sharp one-word comment about Prince Harry following what was perceived as a snub at a significant royal event. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle relocated to Montecito, California, in 2020 and subsequently stepped back from their royal duties. However, they returned to the UK to participate in Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee celebrations. Notably, Prince Harry was absent from the Platinum Party at Buckingham Palace in June 2022, where many other royals were in attendance.
After the event, on the occasion of Tindall’s 46th birthday, he is said to have described Prince Harry’s behavior as that of a “b******” to another guest. While Harry and Meghan did attend the thanksgiving service at St Paul’s Cathedral, they did not actively partake in the jubilee celebrations. During the service, Zara Tindall, Mike’s wife and Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter, was seen engaging in conversation with Meghan.
Body language expert Judi James suggested that Tindall may have “snubbed” Harry by interacting with other guests as they left St Paul’s, while Zara appeared willing to chat with the Sussexes. James pointed out the dynamics at play, highlighting the potential conflict arising from Tindall’s close relationship with Prince William.
Despite the usual ease and non-involvement in politics that Tindall exhibits, he seemed preoccupied and somewhat aloof during the event, according to James. She noted how Tindall engaged with Viscount Lindley, turning his back on Harry, thereby isolating the two men from Zara’s conversation with Harry. The episode added a layer of complexity to the already intricate relationship between Mike Tindall and Prince Harry.
This incident sheds light on the ongoing complexities within the royal family dynamics, especially in light of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to step back from their royal roles and pursue a more independent path in the US.
