The upcoming week is expected to bring hotter and more humid conditions as the sunny weather persists, with Wales anticipated to experience the highest temperatures in the UK.
Temperatures could reach highs of 26 or 27°C throughout the week, making it one of the warmest regions in the country. Porthmadog recorded highs of 25°C over the weekend, and forecasters predict that the hot and dry weather will continue for at least another week. This consistently makes Porthmadog one of the hottest places in the UK.
According to Met Office meteorologist Greg Dewhurst, the weather will be predominantly dry, with sunnier skies in the west and cloudier conditions in the east. As the week progresses, temperatures may rise even further, especially towards the end of the week. The west-east divide will persist, with western areas experiencing temperatures in the mid-20s, while the eastern side is more likely to see temperatures in the mid to high teens. Coastal areas in the east may remain cool and occasionally cloudy.
Sunday saw sunny weather across the UK, with Porthmadog reaching the highest temperature of 25°C. Castlederg in Northern Ireland recorded 24.5°C, Bournemouth saw 24.2°C, and Glasgow reached a high of 24.1°C in Scotland.

Nevertheless, warm sunshine will prevail for many, as high pressure dominates and provides predominantly fine and settled weather. The west is likely to enjoy the warmest and sunniest conditions, while the east may experience cloudier mornings.
