Plans have been unveiled for a significant redevelopment in Porthcawl, a charming seaside town in Wales. The proposed locations include Sandy Bay with a potential of 450 homes, Coney Beach with 200 homes, and Salt Lake with up to 450 homes. Furthermore, there are intentions to expand the popular Griffin Park significantly as part of the redevelopment project.
In line with the transformation of Porthcawl, there are considerations for creating spaces to host seasonal events, offering overnight parking for motorhomes, and developing new car parking facilities. Notably, the iconic Coney Beach Amusement Park will see closure in the future, marking the end of over a century of operation in the area.
