A 21-year-old man from Ramsbottom in Greater Manchester, Kris Finney, is missing in Tenerife after flying to the island to meet a friend for a holiday. Kris hasn’t been in contact with his family and friends since Thursday when he informed his mum that his phone battery was nearly dead. According to his Aunt Debbie, who raised concerns about his whereabouts, Kris had plans to reunite with a friend on the island but failed to make contact.
Kris Finney, described as a white man standing about 5ft 7ins tall with short dark hair, was last known to be at the Playa de las Americas resort near McDonald’s on the island. He was believed to be staying at Casa Natalia in the Armeñime area. The news of his disappearance has been shared on the Missing Persons Tenerife Facebook group, with hopes of gathering any information on his whereabouts.
Debbie Kenyon, Kris’s Aunt, mentioned that Kris last spoke with his friends around 9 pm on Thursday, following his arrival earlier that day. Despite efforts to reach out to him, his phone has remained switched off, causing worry among his family and friends. Attempts to contact him via calls and texts have been unsuccessful, prompting his loved ones to seek help from the police in Tenerife and the UK.
Debbie expressed, “He may sometimes not contact you for 12 to 18 hours, but then he always reaches out. There was nothing we could do at that time of night.” The family has provided details of Kris’s location and stay to the authorities, including The Foreign Office and the Civil Guard, in hopes of locating him. Investigations are underway to trace his movements and gather more information about his disappearance.
