M4 road closures to cause disruption for drivers this week – Wales Online
Multiple parts of the M4 will either be partially or fully closed this week due to roadworks. The works include maintenance and while they will mostly take place overnight some drivers may still be affected. These closures will affect many places in Wales and drivers are advised to allow for extra travel times due to the works taking place.
Here are all the M4 closures affecting Wales for the week starting Monday, February 3:
A46060 both directions – Carriageway maintenance will close one lane from Pentrebach to Abercanaid from November 25, 2024, to March 28, 2025. The lane will be closed from 8 pm to 6 am.
A487 both directions – Newport construction work will close the road from Felindre Farchog to Parrog from January 6 to February 28. Diversions are in place.
A55 eastbound J24 Faenol to J25 Bodelwyddan – will be closed due to construction work from January 26 to March 2 between 8 pm and 6 am with diversions in place. The bridge will also be closed.
A55 westbound – The exit slip road will be closed at J24A St George due to construction work taking place from January 26 to March 2 between 8 pm and 6 am. Diversions are in place.
A470 both directions – The road will be closed for roadworks from January 20 to April 11. Diversions have been put in place.
A465 eastbound – Roadworks taking place between Aberdulais to Resolven have closed the road from February 3 to February 31. The road will be closed overnight from 8 pm to 6 am.
A470 northbound – The A470 northbound Abercynon to Pentrebach will be closed for roadworks from February 3 to February 17 between 8 pm and 6 am. No work will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
A5 both directions – Roadworks will close one lane between Betws-y-Coed to Pentrefoelas from January 4 to February 14 between 7 am and 5 pm. Temporary traffic lights have been put in place.
