Locked up: The ‘barbaric’ murderer, policeman who broke his wife’s spine and serial car thief jailed in Wales last month

In Wales last month, a total of 81 criminals were sent to jail for serious crimes. Among them was a man named Ashley Davies, who murdered his lifelong friend on New Year’s Day by stabbing him through the lung and heart. Davies then callously sent a taunting text message to his victim. Another shocking case involved a serving police officer who broke his wife’s spine by kicking her down the stairs. An additional 13 men were jailed for attacks on or stalking of partners. One of the most disturbing cases was that of a “violent and dangerous man” who randomly entered a home in Pembrokeshire and brutally attacked a woman.

In another case, Geraint Boyce attempted to incite religious hatred by posting anti-Islamic messages on Facebook following a series of tragic events. The perpetrator, Benjamin Guiver, entered a woman’s home and subjected her to a horrific assault involving physical, sexual, and verbal abuse. Another criminal, Daniel Hatcher, forced his way into a stranger’s home and tried to kiss her in front of her children.

The list goes on, including cases of racial abuse, attempted murder, drug dealing, assault, and stalking. These criminals were brought to justice and received sentences reflecting the severity of their crimes.

The courts in Wales have been busy dealing with these and many other cases, highlighting the importance of upholding justice and ensuring the safety of the community. Each sentence handed down serves as a reminder that such criminal behaviour will not be tolerated in society.
