James announce huge Welsh gigs for summer 2025

Indie band James has announced big gigs in Wales for summer 2025. The Manchester band, renowned for their hit songs “Laid” and “Sit Down”, is set to headline Live at Llangollen Pavilion on Sunday, June 29 and TK Maxx presents Depot Live at Cardiff Castle on Thursday, July 10. Tickets for both shows went on sale at 10 am on Friday, November 8, 2024.

In Cardiff, James will be joined by fellow indie favourites Shed Seven and folk troubadour Jamie Webster, while support artists for the Llangollen gig will be revealed soon. James has been a consistent success story in the UK music scene, with over 25 million records sold worldwide since their inception in the early 1980s. Their blend of critical acclaim and commercial triumph has solidified their status in the music industry.

The band, consisting of members like lead singer Tim Booth, bassist Jim Glennie, and drummer David Baynton-Power, has produced 18 studio albums. Their most recent album, “Yummy”, secured the band’s first UK chart-topping position this year. Celebrating their 40th anniversary in 2023, James embarked on a tour featuring orchestral renditions of their hits and lesser-known tracks. They also recently completed a US co-headline tour with Johnny Marr of The Smiths.

Fans can purchase tickets for the upcoming Welsh gigs at Depot Live, Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, and TicketMaster. James’ distinctive musical style and legacy have positioned them as one of Britain’s most influential bands over the past four decades. Don’t miss out on the chance to see this iconic band perform live in Wales next summer!
