John’s journey to success was not without its challenges. A car accident three years ago left his Ford Transit written off, causing him both physical and vehicle damage. Undeterred, he seized an opportunity by purchasing a second-hand ambulance for £8,400 from Cowbridge. With some modifications by another locksmith, Jock the Lock, the ambulance was transformed into a mobile locksmith vehicle, complete with orange lights for safety.
The unique aspect of John’s business doesn’t end with the ambulance. To prevent theft of his van, he has two furry assistants onboard – his dogs, Brandy and Coke. These loyal companions not only provide security but also offer some light-hearted moments with their playful nature. John shared, “If they kick off you ain’t going jump in with them but they’ll probably lick you to death before they bite you to death.”
