‘I had just watched Katherine Jenkins in concert when I suddenly collapsed and stopped breathing’

A pensioner collapsed and stopped breathing after attending a Katherine Jenkins concert at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in July. Alwyn Williams, 76, was quickly assisted by event medics from MediEvent who administered life-saving treatment, including defibrillation, before community first responders arrived on the scene. Richard Witheridge, one of the responders, expressed gratitude for being able to assist in giving Mr. Williams “the best possible chance of survival.”

Alwyn Williams, who had attended the concert with his wife, Judith, reflected on the incident and expressed his gratitude for the timely intervention that ultimately saved his life.
