Huge space radar station to be built in Wales

UK government confirms plans to build a large space radar station in Wales, part of a global network for deep space monitoring. The station, known as Darc, will be located in Pembrokeshire near St David’s, featuring radar dishes 20 metres tall. The project aims to enhance deep space awareness and protect space assets. Despite opposition from locals, the government promises to work with the community for project success. The redevelopment of Cawdor Barracks will secure jobs and improve national security, with the site formerly home to RAF Brawdy.
