Hammer Attack Victim Hospitalized After Haverfordwest Assault
A victim of a hammer attack was taken to the hospital after an assault in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire. Dyfed-Powys Police reported that the victim suffered injuries to the face and head during the attack with a hammer. The incident took place in a car park on Salutation Square in Haverfordwest around 4 pm on Sunday, August 25.
- Two men were charged with grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.
- Four people were arrested following the assault.
- Victim received treatment and was later discharged from the hospital.
The police identified two men, aged 19 and 35, who were released without further action. However, Joshua Lea, 21, and another individual, unnamed for legal reasons, were charged and remanded to appear at Swansea Crown Court on September 27. Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson stated that they are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident but urged witnesses to come forward.
“We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time, or has any information that could help with the investigation to get in touch,”
the spokesperson said.
