Former TOWIE star Gemma Collins was left feeling “very shaken” after a storm in Sicily disrupted her family holiday. A major search operation is currently underway following the sinking of a superyacht off the coast of Palermo in southern Italy.
The luxury yacht, known as the Bayesian, encountered difficulties after being struck by a tornado while navigating near Porticello, a fishing village in Sicily. Among the 22 individuals aboard the yacht, six remain unaccounted for, including British tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch. Reports indicate that one body has been recovered, believed to be a member of the kitchen crew, while rescue teams have successfully saved 15 people.
Gemma Collins, who had been enjoying a holiday with her nephew near Sicily, found herself caught in the severe weather while on a boat, with the ordeal lasting for four hours.
