A recent study of 2,000 women revealed that timeless beauty advice, passed down through generations, includes tips such as never sleeping with makeup on, moisturising daily, and avoiding picking spots. 68% of women follow advice from older friends or relatives, with key tips including ‘less is more’ when it comes to makeup and drinking water each morning. The research also found that beauty advice is often shared through word-of-mouth, with many women valuing guidance from family and friends over online sources. Other popular tips include patting the face dry, using cucumbers to reduce puffiness, and testing new skincare products on a small patch of skin. The majority of respondents believe beauty starts from within, emphasising the importance of health and wellbeing for maintaining beauty.
