A heart-wrenching incident unfolded in Bridgend at the end of August when a puppy called Chase was discovered frightened and alone in the lanes of Treos. The young dog had a note attached to his collar, pleading for help. The note revealed that Chase, a 1-year-old pup, needed a new home as his owner could no longer care for him. The emotional message read, “HELP ME!! My name is Chase. I am 1 yr old November 16. I am very friendly and kind, good with kids. I need a new home as my owner cannot take care of me. Please help me. Thank you.”
Thankfully, Hope Rescue in Llanharan, Rhondda Cynon Taf, came to Chase’s rescue and provided him with a safe haven. Upon his arrival, Chase was described as extremely nervous after having been wandering loose for some time. However, with the loving care and attention from the Hope Rescue team, Chase gradually began to trust again. After spending a few weeks at the centre, he was placed with a foster family where he is settling in well and showing his playful side.
Despite the positive outcome for Chase, the rescue centre expressed their frustration at the way he was abandoned.
