A GP has highlighted three signs that indicate you may be suffering from low iron levels, potentially causing health issues. Shortness of breath is the second sign mentioned by Dr. Arora. Iron plays a vital role in red blood cells, which transport oxygen in the body. The National Health Service (NHS) warns that iron deficiency anaemia could develop, particularly in women with heavy periods who may require iron supplements.
