Coronation Street, Brookside, and Carry On star Kenneth Cope has passed away at the age of 93, leaving behind a legacy of iconic performances on British television. Cope’s career spanned decades, during which he graced the screens of hit shows such as Coronation Street, A Touch of Frost, The Bill, Goodnight Sweetheart, and Last of the Summer Wine.

His former agent, Sandra Chalmers, shared the news of his passing, describing Cope as “an absolute joy to work with and an honour to have known.” Among his notable roles, Cope portrayed Jed Stone in Coronation Street from 1961 to 1966, with a return to the show in 2008. He also featured as Ray Hilton in Brookside from 1999 to 2002 and made appearances in various other TV series including A Touch of Frost and Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased).

Additionally, Cope showcased his talent in classic UK programmes like The Bill, Goodnight Sweetheart, and Last of the Summer Wine, solidifying his reputation as a versatile and beloved actor.
