In April 2023, Danielle, a vibrant 40-year-old wife and mother of two, embarked on what she believed would be a new chapter as she embraced life at 40. Unfortunately, just three months later, her life took a devastating turn when she collapsed in front of her children, suffering a tonic-clonic seizure.

Alone at home, her quick-thinking children sought help from neighbours, who administered CPR, ultimately saving her life. Following this frightening incident, a week later, Danielle received the shocking diagnosis of a grade 2 brain tumour. Despite increased medication, her seizures worsened, revealing rapid tumour growth.

In November 2023, Danielle underwent surgery to remove the tumour. However, the news took a heartbreaking turn just before Christmas when she learned the tumour was a Glioblastoma, a terminal grade 4 cancer, with a life expectancy of 12-14 months. Battling ongoing seizures and requiring round-the-clock support, Danielle is currently undergoing gruelling radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Undeterred by this grim prognosis, Danielle embarked on extensive research, leading her to a potential glimmer of hope – DCVax-L, an immunotherapy dendritic cell vaccine. Referred by her Oncologist to Professor Ashkan in The London Neurosurgery Partnership, the treatment, costing £250,000, presents a formidable financial challenge.

In a heartfelt plea, Danielle’s best friends and supporters are rallying the community to raise funds. While the primary goal is to finance the life-changing vaccine, additional funds will cover potential home adaptations or care services, ensuring Danielle’s comfort and quality of life.

The campaign also aims to create cherished memories for Danielle, her children, and her husband. Every donated penny promises to make a difference, offering hope and extending Danielle’s time with her family. The community’s support is not only a lifeline for Danielle but a testament to the power of collective compassion in the face of adversity.
