Morrisons Offers Free Breakfast for Children and Adults Across the UK
In a bid to support families during the Easter school holidays, Morrisons has teamed up with Kellogg’s to provide free breakfasts at its 390 Cafés nationwide. Starting from the 7th to the 27th of April, visitors can enjoy a complimentary bowl of Kellogg’s cereal, with options such as Corn Flakes, Rice Krispies, or Coco Pops, accompanied by a choice of dairy or non-dairy milk.
In addition to the free cereal, customers will also receive a portion of fresh fruit, with a selection of bananas, apples, and oranges available at the Cafés. This initiative aims to alleviate some of the financial pressure faced by families during the school break, as highlighted by recent research from Kellogg’s showing that many parents struggle to stretch their food budget during this time.
Chris Strong, Morrisons Café Senior Buying Manager, expressed the store’s commitment to supporting families: “The breakfast club partnership with Kellogg’s has proved incredibly popular with our customers, and we are delighted to bring it back for a third year. We have helped many families across the UK since it was first introduced and will continue to do so during schools’ Easter holidays.”
Kellogg’s Managing Director, Chris Silcock, emphasized the importance of extending support beyond term time: “We have been supporting school breakfast clubs for over 27 years now, but we know that there is a need for more support outside of term time. Our research shows that it’s a source of worry for parents. The Kellogg’s Breakfast programme with Morrisons extends this much-needed support for families over the Easter holidays.”
Alongside the “Kellogg’s Breakfast” promotion, Morrisons is also running a Kids Eat Free offer in its Cafés. For every adult main meal over £5 purchased from selected menu sections, children under 16 can enjoy a complimentary kids’ meal. This promotion is available every day of the week, providing an extra helping hand to families dining out.
The response to these initiatives has been positive, with families appreciating the opportunity to enjoy a nutritious meal without additional cost. By partnering with Kellogg’s and offering these incentives, Morrisons aims to make a meaningful difference in the lives of its customers during the holiday period.
As the program runs until stocks last, families are encouraged to visit their nearest Morrisons Café to take advantage of this generous offer. Whether it’s starting the day with a wholesome breakfast or treating the kids to a free meal, Morrisons is committed to supporting families and making a positive impact in the community.
This collaborative effort between Morrisons and Kellogg’s exemplifies the power of partnerships in addressing social challenges and providing practical support where it’s needed most. By extending a helping hand and offering free meals, these two brands are demonstrating their commitment to the well-being of families across the UK.
