Temporary Closure of Victoria Park Splash Pad in Cardiff
The Victoria Park splash pad in Cardiff has temporarily closed just after reopening for the season on Saturday, May 27. The closure is due to a fault that has developed in the water supply mechanism, according to Cardiff Council.
The council has confirmed that they are working with a contractor to rectify the issue and are hopeful that the splash pad will reopen as soon as possible. They expressed frustration that the malfunction occurred during the half-term school holidays, especially considering that it had been working during testing the previous week.
A spokesperson for Cardiff Council stated, “We regretfully had to close the Splash Pad temporarily due to a fault in the water supply mechanism. Our contractor is actively collaborating with us to address the issue promptly and restore the attraction for the public’s enjoyment.”
