With an expected 27,500 participants and thousands of spectators, the city will host Wales’ largest mass-participation event on Sunday, October 6. Road closures will be in place from Wednesday, October 2, until Monday, October 7, to facilitate the setup and dismantling of the race village at the Civic Centre.
During the event on Sunday, from 8.30am to 3.10pm, the bus gate in Westgate Street will be suspended. College Road will be closed from the junction with Museum Avenue to King Edward VII Avenue from 5am on Wednesday, October 2, until just before midnight on Monday, October 7. Additional closures will follow for different roads leading up to the event day.
On race day, Sunday, October 6, various roads will experience closures between 4am and noon. Access for residents and businesses will be maintained during the closures, with designated diversion routes.
