Brits’ top barriers to weight loss revealed – from work stress to costs of produce

Various factors were cited as barriers by Brits in maintaining their weight loss resolutions, including demanding jobs, parenting responsibilities, and a general lack of motivation. Nearly half of the respondents even acknowledged that achieving their target weight might not lead to lasting change, as they anticipate reverting to old habits and regaining the lost weight. Furthermore, 16 per cent admitted to struggling with managing portion sizes or resisting their favourite treats. Lack of motivation emerged as the primary obstacle for a third of the participants, with 81% acknowledging the need for some form of motivation to adhere to a strict diet plan. Additionally, 23 per cent expressed uncertainty about how to achieve their weight loss goals.
