Police Called to Bridgend Railway Station After Staff Assault

A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of assault

Police were called to Bridgend railway station after two members of railway staff were assaulted. The incident occurred at 1:44 PM on Tuesday, May 28.

British Transport Police (BTP) and Transport for Wales confirmed that officers responded to reports of a passenger assaulting the staff members. A man in his 20s was subsequently arrested on suspicion of assault.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police stated: “Officers were called to Bridgend railway station at 1:44 PM yesterday (28 May) to reports of a passenger assaulting two members of rail staff.”
