Air and ground search launched as concerns grow for missing man

An extensive search operation has been initiated in a rural area of Wales to find a missing man, sparking growing concern for his safety. Authorities have deployed a search team, a police helicopter, and a mountain rescue team to locate Geraint, who has been reported missing from his residence on Cradoc Road, Brecon. The 56-year-old was last sighted walking towards Brecon town on Monday, September 30, at 9.15 am, according to Dyfed-Powys Police.

Described as wearing a red rugby top, blue jeans, a red cap, a black jacket, and white shoes with red accents, Geraint’s whereabouts remain unknown. Residents are urged to inspect outbuildings like garages and sheds, as well as review their private security footage such as CCTV cameras, video doorbells, and dashcams for any potential sightings of the missing man within the area since his disappearance.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police stated, “We continue our search for 56-year-old Geraint, who was reported missing from the Cradoc Road vicinity of Brecon. Geraint is approximately 6 feet tall, of medium build, with short grey hair and blue eyes. He bears a blue tattoo on his hand and speaks with a Welsh accent.” Efforts involving the police search team, Brecon Mountain Rescue, and the National Police Air Service are underway to locate Geraint.

The public is requested to assist by examining their premises for any signs of Geraint seeking refuge and by examining any potential video footage that could aid in his location. Geraint is known to have connections in the Tregaron, Machynlleth, and Llanbrynmair areas.
