A new Home Bargains store opening in Pembroke Dock is set to bring economic growth to the Welsh town, with the creation of 45 new jobs. The £2 million investment by the national chain is a significant boost for the area, adding to the more than 600 stores it operates across the UK, including several in Wales.
This will be the third Home Bargains outlet in Pembrokeshire, alongside the existing stores in Milford Haven and Haverfordwest. The company has confirmed that 45 jobs have been created at the new location, with 38 of them being new hires. The store is set to offer a wide range of products, including homewares, health and beauty essentials, snacks, drinks, and fresh food items.
The manager of the Pembroke Dock store, Lara Riley, expressed excitement about the opening, highlighting the positive impact it will have on the local community. The store is located in a 12,680 square foot unit in Llanion Park, Pier Road, formerly occupied by Wilko. The grand opening is scheduled for this Saturday, October 26, at 8 am.
Riley stated, “The people of Pembroke Dock are in for a fantastic shopping experience, and we are truly looking forward to welcoming each and every one into our store. Pembroke Dock will be a great location for us, and we’re proud to be able to offer local people top-branded goods at exceptionally low prices.”
