A-level grades in Wales drop as exams revert to pre-pandemic setup. Top grades fall with 10.1% achieving A* and 29.9% achieving A*-A. Overall pass rate remains at 97.4%. Exam regulator Qualifications Wales returns to “normal” conditions. Results show a shift from previous years due to differences in assessment approaches. Subjects with the highest rates of A* grades include modern languages, Further Maths, and Maths. Girls slightly outperform boys at the very top A level grades.
