People with PIP Enhanced Mobility Rate May Receive £750 One-Off Payment
Individuals eligible for the Motability Scheme, which allows those on disability benefits to exchange part or all of their weekly mobility allowance (£75.75), can now potentially benefit from a one-time payment of £750. This scheme caters to approximately 690,000 customers throughout the UK, including recipients of Armed Forces Independence Payment, War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement, and those on the higher rate mobility component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) or Disability Living Allowance (DLA).
Many individuals who have been long-term recipients of qualifying benefits, as well as new claimants, may not be aware of this £750 payment available specifically for first-time vehicle leasers. This payment can be directed to the dealer to assist with an Advance Payment, or provided directly to the customer once they have received their vehicle.
