5 Children Arrested Over Murder of 80-Year-Old Dog Walker in Park Attack
Five children have been arrested in connection with the murder of an 80-year-old dog walker who was attacked in a park. The victim, who was seriously assaulted by a group of young people, passed away in the hospital a day after the incident, prompting a murder investigation. The attack took place at around 6.30pm in Franklin Park, Braunstone Town, Leicestershire.
“Following a number of enquiries, officers have arrested five people – a boy and a girl aged 14 and one boy and two girls aged 12 – on suspicion of murder. They are currently being interviewed by police.”
The assault occurred near the park entrance in Bramble Way, with the victim, described as wearing a black jumper and grey jogging bottoms, being targeted by the group of young individuals who fled before emergency services arrived.
