Susanna Reid missing from GMB today after family emergency

Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid was unexpectedly absent from her usual slot on the ITV show today after a family emergency. Just one day after her return, following a lengthy summer break, Ranvir Singh stepped in to work alongside Ed Balls this morning as Susanna had to pull out. Ranvir explained to viewers, “A very good morning to you and of course you will be wondering where Susanna is this morning. Well, one of her boys has been taken unwell overnight and so she needs to stay with him, but we are here for you this morning.”

Susanna Reid, a British television presenter and journalist, is best known for co-hosting the morning show Good Morning Britain (GMB) on ITV. She began her career in journalism with the BBC, where she worked for many years as a newsreader and presenter, including on BBC Breakfast. Joining Good Morning Britain at its launch on April 28, 2014, Susanna has been a main presenter on the program since its inception, being with GMB for over nine years.

Initially co-hosting the show with Ben Shephard and later with Piers Morgan, Susanna’s on-air chemistry and debates with Morgan significantly raised the show’s profile. After Morgan’s departure in 2021, she continued to co-host the show with various presenters, including Richard Madeley. Despite missing today’s show due to a family emergency, fans wish Susanna and her family well during this time.
