Met Office confirms end of summer is nigh but there’ll be one last hurrah this weekend

The Met Office has confirmed that the end of summer is approaching as autumn fast approaches. However, before summer bids its final farewell, there will be one last hurrah in Wales this weekend. According to the Met Office, high pressure will bring settled weather on Friday with plenty of sunny spells. The forecast predicts a pleasant day with temperatures reaching highs of 23°C, making it ideal for a final beach trip before kids head back to school.

Saturday is expected to follow suit with gorgeous weather, dry conditions, and more warm sunny spells. But the sunny streak will be short-lived as Sunday and the new week will see cloudier skies with a chance of showers and longer spells of rain. Looking ahead to early September, weather maps indicate that temperatures could soar to 31°C in most parts of England and Wales. Birmingham Live reports that the peak of the warm weather is anticipated on September 6, followed by comfortable 20°C conditions on September 9, 10, and 11.

The return of the heatwave is on the horizon with the UK set to enjoy the warmth once again. Families may want to take advantage of the predicted sunny days ahead before autumn fully takes hold.
