Reports of a child soliciting “young girls for sex” in a Welsh village have led to a heightened police presence in the area. North Wales Police has launched an investigation into “concerning” instances of a child approaching girls in Garden City, Flintshire. The force has urged anyone with information to come forward, reports North Wales Live.
A statement from NWP Flintshire North said, “Concerns have been raised following reports of a child asking to engage in sexual activity with young girls in the Garden City area. Officers are continuing with enquiries into the reports and ask anyone with information to get in touch.” Inspector Wesley Williams added, “These allegations are concerning, and we are following several lines of enquiry to identify the young person responsible. Patrols have been increased in the area for reassurance purposes.”
“I would like to thank those that have been in touch and provided us with information and urge anyone with concerns, or anyone who can assist our enquiries to contact us.” North Wales Police is investigating the reports in Garden City and has increased patrols in the area to ensure the safety of residents.
