Bradford house fire tragedy kills three children and a woman

In a tragic incident, a house fire in Bradford has claimed the lives of four people, including three children. West Yorkshire Police reported that a 29-year-old woman was found dead at the scene, while three children two girls aged nine and one, and a five-year-old boy succumbed to their injuries after being taken to the hospital. A 39-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the blaze.

The authorities were alerted to the fire at a property on Westbury Road at 2.07am on Wednesday. The man arrested at the scene was subsequently taken to the hospital with critical injuries. Detective Chief Inspector Stacey Atkinson from the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team at West Yorkshire Police described the incident as “absolutely devastating,” highlighting the loss of three children and a woman. Early investigations suggest the fire was intentionally started, leading to the arrest of the man who is currently in a serious condition due to fire-related injuries.

While the investigation is in its early stages, the police believe the tragedy is domestic-related. Investigators are urging anyone who was in the vicinity at the time of the incident or possesses CCTV or doorbell footage to come forward and assist with the enquiries.
