Work to start on major solar farm in Pembrokeshire

Work is about to commence on a substantial solar farm project in Pembrokeshire, as reported by Wales Online. The 8.6-megawatt solar scheme, previously under the ownership of One Planet Developments, will now be developed by Shawton Energy, although the exact value of the deal has not been disclosed. This project, which received planning permission from Pembrokeshire Council last year, is going to be situated in south Pembrokeshire and will consist of over 14,000 solar panels.

Shawton Energy has revealed that the solar farm, to be positioned at West Farm, Cosheston, near Pembroke Dock, is anticipated to kickstart clean energy production later this year. Furthermore, in 2023, Shawton Energy formed a partnership with a fund managed by Lazard Asset Management to hasten the deployment of fully funded solar photovoltaic projects for industrial and commercial clients throughout the UK.
