Police in West Lothian, Scotland, have raised concerns for the safety of 14-year-old Eva Brown, who has been missing for a week. Eva was last seen leaving a family member’s home in Winchburgh on August 9, with plans to stay with friends in Glasgow. However, she has not been in contact since August 11. Detectives are worried about misinformation circulating online that suggests Eva has been found, emphasising that she remains missing and extensive searches are ongoing.
Described as white, 5ft 6in tall, of slim build with medium-length brown hair, Eva was wearing a grey top, grey joggers, black trainers, and carrying a black backpack when she was last seen. She is known to have connections to Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear, as well as Mallaig, Aberdeen, and Glasgow city centre. Inspector Richard Homewood expressed ongoing concern for Eva’s wellbeing and urged anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact the police.
Police are liaising with authorities in areas Eva is known to frequent and have issued an appeal for her to make contact if she sees the appeal. Anyone with information is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1258 of August 13. As detectives continue their efforts to locate Eva and ensure her safety, the public’s assistance in sharing any relevant information is greatly appreciated.
