The UK Government has allocated £13.5m to support Tata workers and protect the supply chain following the closure of blast furnaces at Port Talbot. The funding is part of a larger £100m initiative established last year to aid in the transition to greener steelmaking. This investment aims to assist workers in finding new jobs and help local businesses affected by the changes. Additional support will be extended to affected workers through training and skills development. Over 50 businesses have pledged assistance to displaced workers, and more details on accessing the initial funding will be provided soon.
