‘Doctors mistakenly said I had a chest infection – I nearly lost my unborn baby and my life’

A pregnant woman was misdiagnosed with a chest infection, leading to life-threatening blood clots in her lung. Shayné Casey, 27, nearly lost her life and her unborn baby as a result. After experiencing chest pains and coughing, she was rushed to the hospital where two blood clots were discovered. She gave birth prematurely, and now faces the possibility of surgery. Shayné is advocating for awareness of the symptoms of blood clots in pregnant women.
