Northern Lights appear across Wales as people share stunning pictures

Northern Lights appeared across Wales on Monday night, with people sharing stunning pictures. The aurora borealis was visible in various locations in Wales and the UK. The US Government’s space weather prediction centre and Lancaster University’s AuroraWatch website issued alerts for the phenomenon. The best viewing time was between 10pm to 2am. Weather forecaster Derek Brockway reported temperatures reaching up to 34°C in Cambridge. The display came after a warm day in the UK. Astronomy tourism specialist Dark Sky Wales encouraged people to find a spot with clear skies to enjoy the show. If you have pictures to share, email [email protected].
