A violent attack occurred when a man smashed his way into his ex-partner’s home, leading to a brutal assault that left her fearing for her life. Isiah Queeley, aged 27, had been found in possession of over £3,000 worth of cannabis during a prior police stop in Cardiff. On the evening of February 9 last year, Queeley arrived at his former partner’s residence in Cardiff, creating a disturbance by banging on her door. Despite being told to leave by a neighbour, he proceeded to break a window and force his way into the house, displaying a frighteningly aggressive demeanor. Queeley proceeded to physically assault the victim by repeatedly kicking her, causing her to believe she was in mortal danger. The victim attempted to protect herself by covering her head, but Queeley continued his brutal attack, inflicting injuries and causing significant distress. During the assault, Queeley verbally abused the victim and damaged her personal belongings, demonstrating a complete disregard for her safety and well-being. The victim sustained bruises and other injuries as a result of the harrowing ordeal.
Prosecutor Kathryn Lane detailed Queeley’s involvement in drug-related offenses following his arrest for possession of cannabis during a traffic stop in Roath on January 2, 2023. Despite his previously clean record, Queeley pleaded guilty to charges including assault causing actual bodily harm, burglary, criminal damage, and drug possession with intent to supply.
